Avenir Technology has built and run market infrastructure since 2014. We work from Wellington, New Zealand and London, United Kingdom, with exchanges, depositories and clearing houses around the world.
Why Avenir exists.
Avenir was founded by financial market veterans who had seen firsthand how legacy systems were slowing the industry down. They set out to build infrastructure that markets could rely on, and to run it themselves.
We pair deep domain expertise with modern, modular software. Today Avenir powers critical systems across several continents, including regulated stock exchanges, private markets, registrars and emerging financial centres.

Our team has designed, built and run live exchanges, central counterparties and securities depositories. We have carried the regulatory obligations, sat through the audits and owned the overnight batch when it mattered. That experience runs through everything we ship, from the questions we ask in scoping to the defaults we choose in the product.

Avenir Advisory is our advisory practice. We help exchanges, depositories, clearing houses and regulators make sound infrastructure decisions.
It is product-neutral by design. An advisory engagement is assessed and delivered on its own terms, with recommendations made in your interest, even when the right answer turns out to be a different vendor. The value is the thinking. Boards and regulators can rely on the analysis because nothing rides on the conclusion.
